About the wine

A typical Central European grape variety, one of the oldest in the world, the most common red grape variety to be found in all wine producing regions in Slovakia. Its popularity in Nitra Region has been increasing mainly because of favorable growing conditions and high grape quality.

The wine displays a distinctive aroma of ripe stone fruits and cherries. Pleasant tannin tones are nicely embedded in the wine’s body. A short stay in wooden barrels gave the wine delicate notes of vanilla and cocoa.
